Facebook Employee Lives Out Of Car, Can’t Afford Housing

Google employees aren`t the only tech workers fighting to afford Silicon Valley rents. One (alleged) Facebook employee recently confessed to a local TV station that she cannot afford the Bay Area`s $Two,000 a month rents, forcing her to live out of her car. Unique Parsha, the employee in question, opened up about her situation to local Fox affiliate KTVU, hoping to embark «a real dialogue about the high cost of living in the Silicon Valley» (albeit as readers will quickly realize, there is a very real chance that either KTVU, or everyone else has been part of an elaborate trolling scheme).

«Parsha’s nickname is “Pinky”- she has pink hair, a pink car, and even a pink dog. But she says, things aren’t always as rosy as they show up.

Parsha says, “I tell people all the time, stop looking at what somebody got and what you see on the outside”.

On the outside, Parsha is a model Facebook worker, who runs a non-profit in her spare time. But she’s been living out of her car since April.»

Well, at least we now know why Americans spent so much money on RVs in the very first quarter, it was the thickest source of GDP growth in the very first three months of 2017.

Parsha says her coworkers would be «shocked» to detect her living situation. However, her student loans and medical debt have made paying for an apartment unlikely. Rents in the Bay Area have risen too quickly, while wages for technology workers have failed to keep up, she said.

When she`s desperate for a good night`s sleep, Parsha spends the night at a hotel.

«Parsha determined that now is the time to begin talking about her situation, in the hopes of opening a real dialogue about the high cost of living in the Silicon Valley. “I think that companies need to look at the salaries. Are we paying employees enough to sustain?”

Tonight, Parsha broke down, renting a hotel room so she can get a real night’s sleep.»

Allegedly, Parsha has been “working at Facebook for only two months” but she says she`s already contemplating taking a 2nd job. KTVU didn`t disclose her title, the nature of her work at Facebook, or the model and make of her vehicle.

«She says she’s attempting to stay positive and that a home is just around the corner – and the security that comes with it.»

While liberals have dismissed President Trump`s calls to restrict the number of H1-B visas supplied to American tech firms as xenophobic, even the Fresh York Times admits that many tech firms manhandle the program to help keep labor costs low. More than any other industry in the US, tech companies depend on the 85,000 H1-B visas awarded by the US government every year.

Tech companies say there`s a shortage of American workers with the abilities necessary to do the work. What they indeed mean is that there`s a shortage of American workers willing to work for the wages being suggested. Parsha`s case is one such example.

America`s tech companies have demonstrated that they`re willing to do almost anything to keep wages low, even if it means engaging in blatantly anti-competitive practices. Back in 2015, Amazon, Apple and a few other tech companies agreed to pay almost half a billion dollars to lodge a class-action lawsuit alleging that the companies colluded to leep wages low by creating «no poach» lists of senior engineers.

Fortunately for the remaining members of San Francisco`s long-suffering middle class who`ve managed to drape on despite spending well over half their income on rent, ease may be on its way in the form of an incipient housing bust. Data released by the Federal Housing Agency display that, after five years of posting some of the highest YoY pricing growth of any market in the country, single-family home prices in San Francisco and San Mateo counties dropped Two.5% YoY in Q1 2017, making it the worst-performing market of the one hundred largest US metropolitan areas.

Niggas are broke these days

That nigga is pushing four hundred pounds.

Something tells me that she ain’t going thirsty.

Something tells me she ain’t a “technology worker”.

“Facebook employee” = someone who posts alot.

“Amazon employee” = part-time delivery driver for $Eighteen an hour.

“Tech worker” = someone who wields a cell phone.

Well Mark Fuckenburger is obviously racist to permit this. How many Asians at FB are living in cars?

I have a hunch that if you don’t eat yourself up to the level of ham planet, then you won’t have as many medical problems.

And these worthless leftoids want all of us to pay for everyone’s healthcare. What the hell is wrong with people?

“Ham the planet! Ham the planet! Er, hack the planet?” So fat, she can’t see out of her own eyes, she’s approaching critical mass. Hamsplosian imminent. Have her face-sit any Indian she comes in contact with. Problem solved.

A bus living in a car? Huh, learn something everyday.

I loathe Zuckerberg’s lounging and theft and his desire to be a satrapic statist as much as the next freedom-loving man, but here are a few observations regarding this ‘homeless’ woman’s complaints:

1. She possesses and lives in a pink Mercedes. She stated that her car means everything to her. That is the core of the problem. She puts ‘bling’ before other, more rational and substantial goals. such as seeking out her own shelter. The pink hair and pink dog are also indicative of misdirected ‘bling’ attributes. If she wants to make an impression at her job, she should be attempting to impress people with her intelligence, skill, desire to work hard, and accomplished goals (if she has any), not with her ‘pinkness.’

Two. It would be better for her to be driving around a used, green Toyota Corolla and using that gas-efficient vehicle to drive in 60-90 miles from outside Silicon valley (you know, where she could actually afford some housing) than living in her car and over-priced hotel rooms. This is just poor financial planning enabled by misaligned priorities. And these priorities are not necessarily career priorities but mainly the basic priorities for survival that most sane, intelligent, and effective people pursue.

Three. She has only been working at Facebook for a duo of months and she’s already complaining that she isn’t earning enough? Maybe she needs to stir to another city entirely, a city with a lower cost-of-living and get a job in a entirely different company. She may make less but may permit her to rent an apartment and live the way most people seek to live (rather than living out of an auto).

As far as Zuckerberg is worried, I’d just say that he needs to fix the problems in his own house before he launches his presidential bid to attempt to fix the problems in the house of every American family.
