Fresh Upcoming Tata Motors Cars to Launch in India in 2017-18; Nexon, Tigor AMT, Q501, Tiago Sport & TaMo RaceMo
Tata Motors has seen an upward growth in its year on year sales after the company shifted to its Influence design philosophy. The company has launched an array of fresh cars under its HorizonNext product strategy with cars like Tata Tiago, Tigor sub-compact sedan and the Tata Hexa premium crossover SUV. The company has plans to launch a range of upcoming fresh cars like Tata Nexon sub-compact SUV, which is expected to launch in September 2017. This will be followed by the Tigor AMT variant and the Tiago Sport. Other cars include the Tata Q501 premium SUV by end two thousand eighteen and the TaMo RaceMo. Tata TIGOR AMT– After much delay, Tata Motors eventually launched the Tata Tigor Styleback in India priced inbetween INR Four.70 lakh to INR 7.09 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi). Based on the Tiago hatchback, Tigor is the only styleback in the Indian market and most likely the best looking as well. However, Tata Motors launched the car only with a 5-speed manual transmission while the AMT gearbox is nowhere to be seen. When probed, Tata Motors exposed that the company will soon launch the AMT variant of the Tigor in the Indian market, which will come mated to the 1.2-litre Revotron petrol unit that produces eighty four BHP of power and one hundred fourteen Nm of peak torque. The Tata Tigor AMT will be available on the top-end XZ (O) variant and is expected to be priced at INR 6.60 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Tata Nexon – With the enlargening competition in the sub-4m segment, the home-grown automaker is also looking to bring-in its fresh suggesting – Nexon in the segment. This Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza competitor will be the newest suggesting in the segment which is likely to undercut its arch rivals in terms of price and other credibities. Moreover, the sub-compact SUV will be based on company’s modified X1 platform which will be built on fresh Influence design language as seen on Tata Tiago as well as Hexa. Under the bondage mask, the Tata Nexon sub-compact SUV will be suggested with a choice of petrol and diesel engines of which petrol unit will be sourced from Tiago whereas the 1.5-litre diesel unit will be upscaled version of 1.4-litre diesel mill. Tata Q501 SUV – The upcoming Tata Q501 SUV will be based on Land Rover Discovery Sport platform that has already commenced its testing phase. Moreover, the SUV will also carry structural components from Discovery premium SUV. Powering the upcoming SUV will be a Two.0-litre Multijet II diesel engine which will be sourced from Fiat. The engine will be capable of developing around 170bhp. Likely to be priced in the range of INR thirty lakh – INR thirty five lakh, the SUV will rival against the likes of Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner. Tata Tiago Sport Buoyed by the excellent response for Tiago hatchback, the home-grown automaker is looking to bring-in the Sport variant of the hatchback. The Tata Tiago Sport will be powered by 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-charged Revotron engine that will be tuned to produce one hundred twenty BHP of maximum power and one hundred seventy Nm of peak torque. This motor will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Being the only petite hatchback to come tooled with a powerful engine, the Tiago Sport will challenge with cars from the higher segment like Maruti Baleno RS and the Volkswagen Polo GT. TaMo RaceMo – Tata Motors recently showcased the TaMo RaceMo sports car at the two thousand seventeen Geneva Motor Showcase. The RaceMo is the very first sports car to be developed by an Indian car manufacturer apart from the DC Avanti. The TaMo RaceMo is designed by legendary Italian designer, Marcello Gandini. The RaceMo is based on the MOFlex Multi-Material Sandwich (MMS) platform and is a sub 4-metre car. The TaMo RaceMo is powered by a 1.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-charged Revotron petrol engine that is capable of producing one hundred eighty seven BHP of maximum power while developing two hundred ten Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with spanking paddle shifters. The TaMo RaceMo is expected to be priced around INR twenty five lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). While the car was expected to be launched by early 2018, a fresh report suggests that the TaMo RaceMo’s launch plans have been put on hold indefinitely.
