Dallas police released movie on Wednesday of two suspects who carjacked and shot a man to death in Northwest Dallas early Tuesday morning.
Police identified the victim as Oziel Garcia. He was found in a breezeway of an apartment building in the three thousand three hundred block of Webb Chapel Extension.
“I heard my mom screaming so I just came out running,» said Isaar Garcia, victim’s brother.
Just before one a.m. Tuesday, 19-year-old Isaar ran to the front door of the family`s Love Field area apartment and spotted his junior brother Oziel suffering from a fatal gunshot wound to the neck.
“I just eyed my brother laying there with blood all over his figure, from his mouth all the way down to the bottom,» Isaar said.
His mother and father attempted, but could not save their 18-year-old son.
Surveillance movie shows the suspects walking behind Garcia’s truck while he is still in it. After Garcia was shot in the breezeway, the suspects can be seen getting in his car and driving off.
Isaar says his brother had been to Addison’s Kaboom Town to see the fireworks. He even posted a several photos on social media — one just twenty five minutes before he was shot and killed.
Garcia had just dropped off his friend Jose Soto before getting killed. Soto was with him in Addison.
“When he came to the door they followed him, then they asked for his keys and his wallet and he gave it to them, but they still shot him in the neck,» Isaar said.
Police are asking for the public’s help in locating Oziel’s crimson two thousand eight Chevy Silverado pickup. It has Texas plates GJD-4577.
“He was like a helpful person when I needed him and he was always there for me,» Isaar said.
Isaar has fond memories of his junior, but taller, little brother.
“He liked to play a lot of games when he would work and he liked to laugh a lot and he liked to listen to a lot of music,» Isaar said.
Both Isaar and Soto are especially shocked by Garcia’s death, because he was not the type of person to pick fights.
“I couldn’t believe it because he’s very quiet,” Soto said. “We never expected this to happen to him. We expected a bright future. He was about to go to college.”
Now heartbroken and angry, Isaar hopes his brother’s murderers are caught and brought to justice.
“I hope they get what they deserve,” Isaar said. “He was a very good person.”
There is a $Five,000 prize being suggested for any information leading to the arrest and indictment for this capital murder offense.
