Like Monday’s solar eclipse, paying bargain prices to pack up your tank was short-lived at a Cortland gas station.
Cars and trucks lined up along Elm Road Monday morning as the Valley View Food Mart lowered the price of regular gas to ninety nine cents as a promotional event.
According to gasbuddy.com, other stations in Cortland were selling gas at prices ranging from $1.87 to $Two.04 per gallon.
The low price only lasted a few hours and by afternoon, the price of gas was back up and traffic in the area was back to normal.
